Our schedule is altered a little tomorrow...another day in June that is filled with activities.

8:30 - 9:20 am - Swimming

9:40 - 10:30 am - Grade 4 Drama Presentation

1:00 pm - Tasty Tuesday

1:50 - Boat Race at the Pool (feel free to meet us at the pool)

Drumming Finale!

What an amazing display of creativity at RBES this morning during our Drumming Finale - one couldn't help but move along to the beat of the drums!

Looking forward to seeing all of the boats on Friday!

• Fun Day note was sent home today - hot lunch & volunteers
• Overdue library books due back on Friday

In Math, we gathered and recorded data, and constructed and interpreted a bar graph to plan for our Year End Party. It's going to be a hoot!

Brrrrrr! It was a chilly one today!

It was our first day of swimming and the students fared better than I would have!  Because of the colder temperatures and wet hair, students spent the first recess inside with Bill Nye!  I suggested to students that they bring a big warm, fuzzy hoodie for after swimming.  Our classroom and the weather have been chilly as of late!  We are swimming again tomorrow - don't forget to send a pocket snack....or two with your child - they seemed extra hungry this morning.

A couple reminders....

• Bugology permission slips are due by Friday, June 13th.
• Boats are due by Friday, please do not send your child's boat any earlier.  We will be testing them in the pool next week - I will keep you posted of a date and time.
• The last book order of the year is due on Friday, June 13th.

Swimming Next Week!

We are scheduled to be swimming for the next three weeks in the am.  I have decided that we will leave the school at 9:15 am and return back in time for recess.  Please ensure your child has a swim suit, towel and pocket snack to eat after swimming.



Today we had a visit from our Family School Liaison Worker, named Meagan.  She read a story called, I CAN, by Miriam Laundry and did a craft focusing on Believing In Yourself!  Students made their own "Shreddy"!

We also had a presentation about Farm Safety...Boats Float, I Don't!
